“My experience in Thailand was absolutely incredible. It completely transformed my life and the way that I see both myself and the world. Living and working in a culture so different from my own and building relationships with people who have had extremely different life experiences than me was arguably the greatest education I have ever received. In fact, one of my favorite parts of living in Thailand was that I learned something new every single day. Whether it was a new word in the Thai language, a fact about the history of Thailand, a lesson that taught me how to be a better educator, or something personal about myself, there was always something new for me to learn. Before I came to New Zealand, I was anxious about everything. Will I make new friends here? Will I enjoy this summer trip? Everything turned out great and I made many new friends. At Marcellin College, everything was very different from Thailand because the way they learn was different from my school but everyone was very nice and kind.
