Living and working in a culture so different from my own and building relationships with people who have had extremely different life experiences than me was arguably the greatest education I have ever received. "My experience teaching in Thailand was hands down the best year of my life! I initially signed up to teach abroad for only one term, but ended up staying longer because I completely fell in love with the students, culture, and beauty of Thailand. Moving to Thailand was a big step out of my comfort zone, but all of the OEG staff was so welcoming and really eased my nerves upon arrival. I learned so much at orientation and ended up meeting some of my best friends along the way! I could not have done it without OEG. Living in Thailand was one of the most rewarding and amazing opportunities I have ever had. If you are even halfway considering it, I say go for it! You only regret the chances you didn’t take.
