การเป็นนักเรียนแลกเปลี่ยน เป็นหนึ่งปีแห่งการเปลี่ยนแปลงครั้งใหญ่ที่นำผมออกไปสู่โลกอีกใบ เปิดโอกาสให้ผมมีอิสระในการคิด ลงมือปฏิบัติ และค้นหาตัวเอง การเรียนในอเมริกาให้มากกว่าประสบการณ์ชีวิต นอกจากความรู้ที่ได้จากในห้องเรียน เรายังถูกฝึกให้มีการพัฒนาความคิด ปฏิภาณไหวพริบในชีวิตประจําวัน และความรับผิดชอบในฐานะนักเรียนและเด็กวัยรุ่นที่กําลังก้าวเข้าสู่อีกวัยหนึ่งของชีวิตอีกด้วย

โอกาสการเป็นนักเรียนแลกเปลี่ยนในเยอรมนี 1 ปี เป็นช่วงเวลาหนึ่งที่ดีที่สุดในชีวิตของผมเลยก็ว่าได้ ผมมีโอกาสมาหาประสบการณ์และความรู้ดีๆ ใหม่ๆ มันเป็นอะไรที่คุ้มค่ามาก ได้เจอในสิ่งที่ไม่เคยคิดว่าจะเจอ ได้รู้จักเพื่อนหลากหลายประเภท ฝึกให้ผมต้องทำทุกอย่างด้วยตนเอง พึ่งตนเอง เดินทางไกลๆ คนเดียว อดทนและแข็งแกร่งขึ้น อะไรจะเกิดขึ้นก็ต้องรับให้ได้ ผมต้องแก้ปัญหาเฉพาะหน้าด้วยตนเอง โฮสแฟมมิลี่ได้สอนอะไรหลายอย่างให้ผมได้คิด แล้วผมก็ต้องพยายามปรับตัวให้เข้ากับสังคมตรงนั้น

It was so much fun getting to know our students on the school field trip to Doi Inthanon! Speaking English beyond the classroom goes a long way with them. It’s so rewarding to see you students excited to learn from you and trying to better their English! Talking to students outside of school is a cool experience because you can learn so much about them and what they like to do! The Thai teaching community is filled with such supportive and welcoming people! Every day is a journey in Thailand and it just gets better and better. I’ve learned so much about perseverance since I started teaching. It’s a good challenge for anyone!
